Sides & Wholes Cost Estimates

We sell Angus steers, heifers and Holstein steers, heifers.

Animal live weights range from 1,300 to 1,500 lbs.

Beef carcass weight is range from 700 to 900 lbs.

Generally, the heifers are about 100+ lbs lighter than steers. Holsteins have a bigger bone structure and the meat is leaner but the butchered yield is less when compared to Angus beef.

Our cattle are pasture raised (grass fed) until they are 600 to 700 lbs. Then we give them a combination of silage and grain diet which includes wheat, rolled corn, corn silage, and alfalfa.

Note:

All the cattle are fully grown when harvested.

These animals are young but vary in finish weight.

Cattle order does not include organs, organs can be purchased directly at the butcher shop when picking up your order.

Ordering:

All orders require an $800 non-refundable deposit until the animal is near harvest weight. We will contact you when the animal is about 3 weeks to harvest.

  • Deposit payments can be made by check to: Wilson & Sandridge Cattle Feed
  • Credit cards are accepted over the phone (credit card payments will include an additional 3% service charge).

Once the deposit is received, we will send your order confirmation. The remaining balance will be communicated once the animal is harvested and butchered. Remaining balance is not known until we have the carcass weight.

The balance must be received before final pick-up.

Processing:

Directly after harvest, the beef will be taken to one of the independent butchers that we use.

You will have the ability to provide the butcher with instructions on how you want the animal to be cut.

5 – 7 days of aging is included.

Any special requests from the Butcher such as longer aging or special cutting will be added on the bill at pick up or prior to delivery.

Your beef will be ready for pick up from the butcher in downtown Corcoran, CA or can be delivered anywhere in California by special request. Delivery and pick-up should be anywhere from 3.5 to 4 weeks after harvest. From ordering to pick up, the total delivery / pick-up time is about 5 to 6 weeks.
