Our Story

Two separate farm families, the Wilson family, and the Vidovich family lived miles from each other – one in Santa Clara County and one in San Bernardino County.

Together they farmed in the Tulare Lake Region, farming dairy, almonds, pistachios, pomegranates, walnuts, raisins, and feed crops. Eventually, they converted many acres of the land back to pastures to raise cattle.

Today those families have over 50,000 acres of prime grazing land and a few thousand cattle in this region, calling it W&S Cattle Ranch.

Our cows and calves share the land with solar farms. We have miles of Kings River frontage where the original Tachi/Yokut Native Americans are perpetually invited to make the many things from plants that are only found in the river. Our cattle feed off the native land in this region as they have for many years.

We raise the lean Holstein (dairy cows) and the Black Angus breeds. Both animals are fed with premium, natural, no hormone feed.  The Angus are born and raised in the serene wilderness and share the land with coyotes and bobcats. The Angus cows protect their calves from these predators. The Holstein cattle are raised on a dairy farm. Both breeds eventually occupy our small-scale feeding areas and are never crowded. The cattle are hand-raised with local feed and then fed a corn-rich diet, supplied from the Midwest, to finish.

Our ranch has an on-site veterinarian and a nutritionist to ensure the animals are both healthy and happy. Our staff and families enjoy eating our beef, knowing it is grown under ideal conditions, fed properly with no hormones, and treated humanely.

We are proud to come together and share the same high-quality beef that our friends and families have enjoyed for many years, from the W&S Cattle Ranch to your own backyard.
